Duby for Dubi and Gags+ for *gag*. Interesting. I don't know if the value is right, but I won't have to worry about that too long. Come morning you'll have hordes of people coming to tell you how wrong you are. |

True Story.
And Your last blog clouts was BS. Potter IS garbage, ugh. Whitney looks sluggish as well. The whole D crumbled anyway what an abortion of a (1st) period. <-- HA |

Murray would want a 1st round pick for Bishop. Ottawa would have 0 interest in Gagner. Don't see Edmonton giving up a 1st. Vancouver and Luongo is probably a better deal for the Oilers than trying to get Bishop from Ottawa. |

why would we trade bozak for another goalie we already have 2 of... Dubnyk is no better than Reimer or scrivens at this point and bozak is a great 3rd line centre... we just need somone to put in the first spot instead of him |

As the TSN guys mentioned; The whole league knows Ben Bishop is for sale. And it is not a fact he is better than Dubnyk. At best all he will do is bring in more competition to push Dubnyk to be better.
If it is a known fact the team wants to move him I am pretty sure he is not going for a 1st round pick.

The leasfs already have two young and unproven goalie, I highly doubt that they would be going after Dubnyk he isn't what they need. I think Edmonton is the best place for luongo although he may not want to go there. I would like to think that as a Canadian he would want to go to a place where he can help a once great franchise return to being a dominant force.
I'm a leafs fan but imagine what the oil could do right now with 1996 Curtis Joseph playing behind all those young studs! Good luck oilers fans everyone in Leafs nation is VERY jealous of that future out there. |

Richard Cloutier: Shark Bait! + Luongo Trade Watch - Maxbone
Seems to me you have moved your target this season to Gagner. No matter what he does you will berate him.
It is already boring.
I will defend you, but you are just talking out of your ass on this.
2 games, 2 points. While he is not a large guy to crush people, he is able to take teh body to separate the puck, which I am seeing him do. His faceoff % was 59% last night, that was best on the team.
The worst part of your opinion is that you have already formed it when you wanna talk about a player. You are not open minded.
You are like the first period last night...terrible. |

Last nights first period was as bad as it gets but there were some positives. The kids didn't fold the tent. They kept playing.
Edmonton could use Luongo but I just don't see a deal happening. It will be interesting to see where he lands and what Gillis manages to get for him after the waiting. |

It's time for the Oilers to do the NHL what the Blue Jays did to MLB this offseason. Having a team of young stars means nothing if you don't have veteran stars to help along the way |

Ya Gagner's looked better than RNH during these first 2 games, he's the last player who should be getting criticized

I'm surprised with you Cloutier and that you would fall for this Gillis propaganda. No one wants Luongo without the Nucks taking back a bad contract, pure and simple. |

One more comment regarding Luongo and they may the wrong thread: Van should keep him for the season and deal in after. They will need him more than they need Gagner, Bozak or any other supposed second line center. I like Schneider but he does better with Luongo providing assurance. My two cents anyways. And for the record, the Edmonto kids are looking superb. I'm especially an Eberle fan! |

Try this on for size with your Manties instead of pretending Dubnyk is worth anything more than a 5th round pick and a jock strap, probably a used one.
To Vancouver > Dubyuck, Gags and a 1st & 3rd round pick. (they do have to replace Lu...)
To EDM > Lu & 2nd round pick and some trailer trash from the farm.
Just because Edmonton gave Dubs starter money for a couple years doesn't make him valuable. You won't get a 2nd round pick for him. You won't get a 3rd round pick for him. Edmonton OVERPAID him and prayed he'd be good enough. He's not. At best, he ends up in FLA for a 3rd rounder. At worst. Read trade proposition above.
Without a decent goalie, the Oil will be drafting better than last year, but not by much. The Sharts made that apparent tonight. |

so much distaste for other teams and their players
dubi is an average starter and you underrate him a bit and overrate lu
(frank) off with that trade offer lu wont get a top 10 1st plus 2 young roster players |

You're right on one thing. Neither the defense nor Dubnyk offered much help to each other last night. The defense made a bunch of mistakes (Marleau and Pavelski both alone in front), but Dubnyk couldn't bail them out when they did.
Tough night for the Oilers, I think the home opener excitement got to them. |
